ACCURACY DISCLAIMER — READ FIRST
GAIC does not warrant that any detection result is correct. Every score, signal, and provenance summary is an automated estimate that can be wrong in either direction: real content can score as likely AI, and AI content can score as likely real. No refund, credit, or liability arises from an incorrect, missed, or disputed result, and you may not rely on a result as the sole basis for any decision about a person or content.
What GAIC provides
GAIC reports limited content-evidence signals. The text tool is GAIC Text Model v2, an on-device model for English prose. It reports a lean, a confidence level, and an estimated AI likelihood whose accuracy was measured on public research collections it never trained on, and it can be wrong, especially on non-native, translated, academic, formulaic, or heavily edited writing. It does not score text in other languages. The bundled image models report a lean, a confidence level, and an estimated AI likelihood calibrated on labeled image collections; they can miss AI-generated media or lean AI on real media, especially digital art. For supported embedded image and video Content Credentials, GAIC locally checks the manifest, signature, asset binding, validation state, and signer trust using the official Content Authenticity Initiative SDK and a bundled checksum-pinned official trust-list snapshot. If the validator, local runtime, or trust list cannot complete a check, unavailable is reported separately from an invalid credential. A valid or trusted credential validates a signed provenance record; it does not prove that the content, depicted event, or signer claim is true. Missing or unsupported credentials are not evidence that content is untrustworthy.
Video review checks supported embedded Content Credentials before requesting up to eight confirmed-seek still frames spread across the video's full timeline. Failed or timed-out seeks are not counted as sampled frames. Audio and motion over time are not analyzed.
Results are not proof of authorship, truth, authenticity, deception, misconduct, or legal status. Do not use GAIC as the sole basis for discipline, education, employment, moderation, credit, insurance, housing, legal, law-enforcement, medical, safety, or other consequential decisions.
Free use and subscriptions
- Five successful free checks total are shared across text, photo, video and screen modes. Failed and canceled checks do not count. Guest usage stays on this device; signed-in usage is kept on your GAIC account across devices. The allowance does not renew. Each verified new signup through your referral link or code earns you five nonexpiring scans, once per qualifying signup. Existing paid access, trials, earned credits and early Chrome access are preserved.
- In the Chrome extension, early users keep their existing free local scanning, including updates. A local policy preserves that access on update; after reinstalling or clearing extension data, early users whose saved record is missing can choose Early-user access help in the extension to contact support. The old extension had no account or install history, so prior use cannot be automatically verified after data loss. Opening help or claiming prior use does not grant scans or create a paid website or app entitlement. New users receive five successful free scans total in that Chrome profile, without a daily or weekly reset; continued scanning then requires a verified GAIC subscription. Failed and cancelled scans do not count. Clearing extension data or reinstalling can reset the local allowance; no fingerprinting is used.
- The new web annual plan costs US$21.99, billed upfront for one year, and automatically renews yearly at US$21.99 until canceled, with no subscription trial. That saves US$1.89 (7.91%) compared with US$23.88 for twelve US$1.99 monthly payments. On the web, the new GAIC Pro monthly subscription costs US$1.99 per month, charged at confirmation and renewed monthly until canceled, with no subscription trial. Creating an account requires no card. Stripe collects payment details; GAIC does not receive your full card details. We retain customer, subscription, payment-status and transaction identifiers to activate, restore and manage access. Pro provides unlimited checks, with no daily, weekly or total limit. Advanced Scan, an optional cloud second opinion, is available only to subscriptions bought on gaicheck.com, only when it is offered, and only with separate consent; it is not available today. Existing subscriptions and trials retain their agreed terms. Use Manage Pro to review or cancel billing. GAIC Pro+ costs US$19.99 per month on the web, renews monthly until canceled, has no subscription trial, and includes exactly the same features as GAIC Pro; the higher price is a voluntary supporter price. GAIC Pro has no daily, weekly or total check limit. To protect the service, unusually high automated request rates may be slowed temporarily.
- In the iOS, macOS and Android apps, new GAIC Pro subscriptions start at confirmation without a free trial and renew at the localized price and interval shown by the App Store or Google Play until canceled. The store manages payment details, renewal and cancellation. A GAIC account is required to purchase or restore on iOS, macOS and Android. Native Pro provides unlimited on-device checks; cloud analysis is not included in this release. Existing subscriptions and trials retain their agreed terms. GAIC Pro has no daily, weekly or total check limit. To protect the service, unusually high automated request rates may be slowed temporarily.
- In GAIC for Windows from the Microsoft Store, GAIC Pro is billed by Microsoft to your Microsoft account at the price the Microsoft Store shows, and renews until you turn off renewal at account.microsoft.com/services. New subscriptions have no free trial; trials started on earlier add-ons keep their terms. A Microsoft Store subscription unlocks Pro in GAIC for Windows only; it is not linked to your GAIC account.
- Manage or cancel a native subscription in App Store or Google Play subscription settings; in GAIC for Windows, turn off renewal at account.microsoft.com/services. For web billing, choose Manage Pro in the detector to open Stripe's secure portal. Cancellation during a trial prevents the first monthly charge; cancellation after billing takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
- All purchases are final — no refunds. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not refund or credit partial subscription periods, unused checks, or dissatisfaction. Cancel any time and access continues to the end of the paid period. Purchases billed by Apple, Google or Microsoft are subject to that store's own billing and refund process, which we do not control, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
Apple app users also agree to the Apple Standard EULA.
Your content and acceptable use
You must have the right to process any text, image, or video you choose. The local writing workspace suggests wording changes for clarity and readability. It is not designed or promised to conceal AI use, defeat another service's safeguards, establish originality, or identify an author. Review the full draft because an automatic edit can change meaning or tone. Do not use GAIC to violate privacy, intellectual-property rights, law, or platform rules. You remain responsible for the content and for every decision you make from a result.
Native entry is foreground-only and requires a deliberate action. An iOS GAIC content Shortcut can accept one image or text value and run that local check because you invoked the action. Android share-sheet content is accepted only after you explicitly share it to GAIC and is staged for review rather than checked automatically. GAIC does not promise continuous screen monitoring or access to content shown in another app.
Availability and warranties
GAIC is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We work to keep it private, useful, and operational, but do not promise uninterrupted access or accurate classification. Model behavior can change when media is edited, compressed, screenshotted, translated, or differs from training data.
Limitation of liability and indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NIRO CORP and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business, arising from or related to GAIC — including decisions made from a result; and our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to GAIC is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NIRO CORP and its officers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from content you process, your use of GAIC, or your violation of these terms, any law, or any third-party right.
Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, contact support first — honest billing problems get fixed. Initiating a fraudulent or abusive chargeback (disputing a charge you authorized and received service for) is a violation of these terms: to the extent permitted by law, we may suspend or terminate the associated subscription and entitlements, dispute the chargeback with our records of your subscription consent, and recover our reasonable costs. A chargeback that reverses a subscription payment ends that subscription's entitlement.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violating these terms, for fraud or abuse, or where required by law. You may cancel your subscription and stop using GAIC at any time. Deleting a GAIC account cancels its Stripe web subscription and removes the associated Stripe customer and payment details from GAIC's active billing account. It does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple or Google; it removes that account's iOS/Android entitlement record, so mobile paid access cannot be restored to the deleted account. Cancel a native subscription in App Store or Google Play settings before deleting the account. Billing providers may retain transaction records where required for accounting, fraud prevention, or law. The accuracy disclaimer, no-refund terms, liability limits, indemnity, chargeback terms, arbitration agreement, and governing law survive termination.
Binding arbitration and class-action waiver
Please read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or GAIC that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, seated in Fulton County, Georgia (with the option to appear remotely), rather than in court — except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief for intellectual-property misuse. You and NIRO CORP each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding. You may opt out by emailing support@gaicheck.com with the subject "Arbitration opt-out" within 30 days of first accepting these terms. Where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to sue in your local courts, nothing here removes that right.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules, with exclusive venue in the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia, except where mandatory law provides otherwise (and subject to the arbitration agreement above).
Privacy and changes
The Privacy Policy explains local checks, optional cloud processing, usage counters, and billing providers. We may update these terms as the product changes; the date above identifies the current version.
